What This is About

My family and I have been eating a low-carb diet for just over a year, taking the occasional ill-advised break.  I've spent much of that time doing research - reading books, medical journals, other blogs, and anything else I could get my hands on.  I've amassed a lot of knowledge, and I want to share some of that with you.  If you're not already convinced that a low-carb diet is the healthiest possible diet, my goal is to share information to help you make the right decision.  If you are, I hope to provide you with information that motivates you, makes the diet easier, and helps you spread the word.

Spreading the word, in my view, is crucial.  Conventional medical wisdom, as you surely know, condemns dietary fat as the source of many health ills.  It's important to note that I believe this "wisdom" has been thoroughly debunked by good science, and that it came to its current dogmatic position in American medicine through bad science.  It's on us, then, to educate ourselves and to share what we know, since we won't be hearing any of this from the Surgeon General or the American Heart association any time soon.

I look forward to hearing your comments!
